Join the Nigerian Society of Anaesthetists

The NSA brings together anaesthetists and anaesthesia trainees in Nigeria and abroad. The Society has five membership categories.

01 Open for new applications

Full Members

Registered physician anaesthetists in Nigeria who hold at least a Postgraduate Diploma in Anaesthesia (WACS, NPMCN, or an equivalent registrable with MDCN). Fully qualified anaesthetists of Nigerian heritage practising outside Nigeria may also register as Full Members.

02 Open for new applications

Associate Members

Medical doctors training in anaesthesia (resident doctors) at accredited training centres in Nigeria.

03 Open for new applications

Diaspora Members

Anaesthetists living outside Nigeria.

04 For existing members

Life Members

Existing members who have belonged to the Society for at least ten years and are in good financial standing.

05 Conferred by the Society

Honorary Members

Individuals or organisations that have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of anaesthesia in Nigeria. This status is conferred at the general meeting on the recommendation of the Executive Council.

Membership Fees

₦10,000
One-time registration fee

Paid once by new applicants (Full, Associate or Diaspora). Non-refundable.

Annual subscription

Full Member (Fellow) ₦40,000 per year
Full Member (Diplomate) ₦20,000 per year
Associate Member (Resident) ₦20,000 per year
Diaspora Member $50 per year

One-time subscription (Life membership - never renews)

Life Member ₦400,000 one-time
Diaspora Life Member $500 one-time

Apply as a Full, Associate or Diaspora Member. Every application is reviewed and approved by the Secretary General.
